Dr Andrew Charlton MP is the Federal Member for Parramatta.
Before entering Parliament, Andrew built a successful career as an economist and business owner. He served as Senior Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister during the Global Financial Crisis, and later founded his own business, a strategy and economics firm which grew to more than 70 staff before its acquisition by Accenture in 2020.
Andrew founded Parramatta Business Connect in 2024 with the goal that value stays local, opportunity is shared and that every business has the chance to grow. Parramatta Business Connect is underpinned by collaboration across small businesses and large enterprises, reflective of Western Sydney's thriving small business community.
